Wednesday 16 April 2025 - April Stableford - Mr. Finnis wins - the investment in the new clubs pays off !
A fine April day, except for it being bloody cold and very windy. In the words of Steve Clough - sooooo 24 Seniors set out to show the course how good we are, it never works !
Our winner was Adrian Finnis with 37 points, Richard Kieffer in second place with 36 points on countback from Mike Whitington in third.
Andy Wood won nearest the pin on the 2nd !

Monday 31 March 2025 - April Medal - It's Mr. Nisbet, showing us all how it should be done !
With a lovely day in front of us and a very good forecast, 21 Seniors ventured onto the Lakes Course, superbly presented by the Green Staff !. One man came to the fore, comfortably winning with a nett score of 68 - way below his years !
That man was Ian Nisbet with a nett 68 (yes, 68), Pete Stephenson in second place with a nett 70 and on countback Chris Watchorn in third with a nett 71.
Another great performance as Keith Boyfield won BOTH nearest the pins on the 2nd and 11th !

Wednesday 12 March 2025 - March Stableford - It's Mr. Kieffer again - he can't seem to stop playing well!
A much better day than of late, albeit quite chilly. The good news was that the Lakes Course had dried out considerably and was therefore much more "playable". So 21 Seniors set out to show the course how good we are. Unfortunately, with the exception of our winner, we didn't succeed. Our winner was Richard Kieffer with 41 points (yes, 41 points), Ken Claxon in second place with 34 points on countback from Chris Watchorn in third.

Wednesday 26 February 2025 - March Stableford - It's Mr. Grimes - way aye man, a Geordie at the top of his game!
Another wet day and miserable day on the Woods Course and saw a total of 16 Seniors "enjoying" their day out. Our winner was Glenn Grimes with 34 points, Richard Kieffer in second place with 31 points and Steve Clough with 30 points on countback in third.
Tony Hills won nearest the pin on the 15th !

Wednesday 12 February 2025 - February Stableford (2) - It's Mr. Wood - is he back to his best ? !
Another wet Lakes Course and miserable weather still saw a total of 16 Seniors giving it a go. Our winner was Andy Wood with 34 points, on countback from Richard Kieffer in second place also with 34 points and David Toule with 32 points in third.

Wednesday 29 January 2025 - February Stableford (1) - It's Mr. Watchorn who takes the prizes today !
The first competition of 2025 saw a total of 22 Seniors who played on a wet Lakes Course (fortunately we had the competition moved from the Woods) and the winner was Chris Watchorn with 35 points, Richard Kieffer in second place with 34 points and Mike Whitington with 33 points in third.
Chris Watchorn also won nearest the pin on the 11th !

A total of 21 Seniors played the Lakes Course and the winner was Richard Kieffer with 37 points, Chris Daynes in second place with 34 points and Tony Hills with 33 points in third.

A total of 27 Seniors played the Lakes Course (another very good turn out) and the winner was David Toule with 38 points, Jim King in second place with 36 points on countback from Pete Stephenson with 36 points in third.

A total of 22 Seniors played the Woods Course and the winner was Paul Fletcher with 37 points, Richard Kieffer in second place with 36 points, followed by Tony Hills with 34 points in third.

Wednesday 16 October 2024 - October Stableford - Mr. Billot is the main man !
A total of 18 Seniors played the Woods Course - a miserable day with low cloud and mist but the course playing well.
But, typically these days NOT a single Senior played to par or better.
The winner was John Billot with 34 points, Steve Clough in second place with 31 points, followed by Jim King also on 31 points in third - both on countback.

Wednesday 7th October - October Medal - it's Mr. Daynes, what a very nice chap!
A total of 21 Seniors took to the Lakes Course, with more than acceptable weather and the course in very good condition. But, unbelievably NOT a single Senior played to par or better.
The winner was Chris Daynes with a nett 74, with Colin Musson in second place with a nett 75, followed by Mike Whitington in third with a nett 77.

Wednesday 25 September 2024 - September Stableford - Mr. Stanley is at it again !
A total of 20 Seniors played the Lakes Course - although it was a touch cool the weather was perfect and the course in tip-top condition.
But, 3 Seniors managed to play to par or better (which is still only 15%)
The winner was Paul Stanley with 40 points, Colin Musson in second place with 38 points, followed by Paul Fletcher on 36 points in third.

Memorial Cup - 2024
The Memorial Trophy is a Medal competition from the Orange tees played over two rounds, one on each course and the winner is the player with the best combined net score over the two rounds. The competition was played over the August and September Monthly Medals

Wednesday 28th August - September Medal & Memorial Round 2 - Mr. Wood, not for the first time !
A total of 31 Seniors were on the Woods Course, with conditions being excellent. At last a few more Seniors (7 in all) played to par or better.
The winner was Andy Wood with a nett 71 on count back, with Andy Davidge in second place with a nett 71, followed by Pete Stephenson in third with a nett 72.

Wednesday 21st August - August Medal & Memorial Round 1 - it's Mr. Toule, at last he's found the right "tools" (no job too big or small) !
A total of 33 Seniors were on the Lakes Course, with conditions being excellent. But as usual only 3 Seniors played to par or better.
The winner was David Toule with a nett 67, with Colin Copley in second place with a nett 70, followed by Richard Kieffer in third with a nett 71.

A total of 28 Seniors played the Woods Course - same conditions as last week, the weather was perfect and the course in tip-top condition.
But, 5 Seniors managed to play to par or better (which is still only 18%)
The winner was Andy Davidge with 39 points, on count back from Tony Slipper in second place, followed by Ian Nisbet on 38 points in third.

A total of 28 Seniors played the Lakes Course - I'm sure full of optimism as the weather was perfect and the course in tip-top condition.
As usual all our aspirations fell away as only Tin managed to play to par or better - well done Tin. (he really is deadly from 100 yards in!)
The winner was Tin Win with 37 points, Gordon Campbell in second place with 33 points, followed by Pete Stephenson on 31 points in third.

A total of 21 Seniors were on the Lakes Course, with conditions being excellent. There was NO excuse for poor scores but as usual only 1 Senior played to par or better.
